Play without an account, starter deck jokers, and deck codes

Try Shardmoon without an account, every starter deck now plays with 3 jokers, and deck codes let you copy and share a build.

Three recent changes make Shardmoon easier to try and your decks easier to share: you can now play without an account, every starter deck comes with its own jokers, and you can copy a deck as a short code.

Play without an account

New visitors now land straight in the tutorial instead of a sign-in screen. After the tutorial you pick a starter deck and play as a guest against the computer, no form needed. Your guest wins and the starter decks you have beaten are kept on your device; when you later create an account, they are added to your deck quests, XP and Silver. An account is only needed where it matters: online games, quests and rewards, the collection and card packs, the shop, trading and invites. Already have an account? Log in from the main menu or from the first tutorial page. It is a good way to see for yourself why Shardmoon works as a card game for beginners.

Every starter deck brings its jokers

Jokers used to be something only players with a levelled-up account saw. Now every starter deck plays with 3 fixed jokers, at any level, also for guests and the computer. The tutorial explains where the joker bar is, what jokers cost and how you earn more, then has you use one joker yourself. For guests and players up to level 2, the computer in Play Local and in the tutorial plays the simple way and without jokers, so your first games are easier; from level 3 it plays as before. Own decks still unlock jokers as you level up, one per level from level 2 to 6, with up to 3 picked in the deck builder.

A tidier deck builder and collection

The deck builder now keeps your deck list on the right in view while you browse cards, with Jokers and Look opening as their own menus next to Filter and the search. The collection works the same way: filters sit behind one button, now also covering card type and cost, and search, Filter, Trade and My Decks sit in one row at the top, with your Base Set progress and Moondust always in view. Deck codes: copy and share a deck

The deck builder now has a Deck code button. It copies a deck's cards and jokers as a short code starting with SM1-; the look (card back, board) is not part of it. Under Decks, Import code opens a deck code in a free slot: cards you do not own yet are left out and listed, so you can see what to add, and a joker above your level is named with its slot left empty. Check the deck and tap Save, nothing is saved before that. Mistyped, cut-off or invalid codes are refused with a clear message, and so are decks that break the deck rules. Deck codes make it easy to share a build with a friend or ask for advice on Discord.
