A big update for Shardmoon today: Gold cards with their own history, binder jokers as real cards, fairer rules for leaving a game and a few smaller improvements.
Gold cards and Kintsugi
Every card now exists as a Gold copy too. It plays exactly like the normal card; only the look is different: a gold foil frame and a serial number, for example #17. Gold copies come from packs (about 1 in 40 cards) or you forge one in the collection: 3 normal copies plus Moonglass become 1 Gold copy.
Every Gold copy starts with five cracks. Each online win against a real player in which you played that copy fills them with gold, like the Japanese art of Kintsugi. Quick Game counts 1 point, Ranked 2. At 5, 10, 20, 35 and 50 points a new crack is filled; at 50 the card is healed and glows. Games against the computer do not count.
Each Gold copy remembers who found or forged it, how many wins it has and how many owners it had. You can trade a Gold copy, and its history goes with it.
Jokers as real cards
The binder jokers now have their own painted cards. In a match they sit next to your hand where the attack list used to be (the numbers on your Shardlings already show the order). Tap a joker to see the card, then press Use.
Leaving a game
In online games, leaving the game now counts: app in the background, closed or no connection. After the first and second time you see a warning when you are back. The third time, or staying away longer than 90 seconds, loses the game. Your opponent sees a countdown while you are away.
In Play Local against the computer the opposite applies: the clock now stops while you are away or do not touch the game for 30 seconds, and starts again with your next tap.
