In Marvel Snap, every card is played at one of three locations, and the locations decide as much as the cards. Shardmoon plays on lanes too, in its own way. If you are looking for games like Marvel Snap or a free Marvel Snap alternative in the browser, here is what is similar and what is different.
What feels similar
The board is split into lanes, and where you place a card matters as much as which card you play. You build your deck from your own collection and look for cards that work together. Matches are one against one, online against real players.
What is different
- Four lanes. Marvel Snap has three locations. Shardmoon has four lanes, and a Shardling only fights the one opposite.
- Life, not points. Each player starts with 25 life. An empty lane lets attacks through to the opponent, and the first player at 0 loses.
- Bigger decks. Marvel Snap decks have 12 cards. A Shardmoon deck has 30 cards from at most two of four classes.
- Evolving. Shardlings grow through three stages. You pay only the difference and keep the damage already dealt.
- Traps. Face-down traps and spells decide the close matches.
In the browser
Marvel Snap is an app for phones and a client for PC. Shardmoon runs in the browser, on desktop and on phones in landscape. That makes it easy to try in a break and easy to share: send a friend a link.
What it costs
Nothing. Quests and wins pay Silver, and card packs are sold for Silver. You can buy Moonglass with real money for packs and cosmetics, but you never have to. The shop shows the odds of every rarity and every single card.

Is Shardmoon made by Marvel or Second Dinner?
No. Shardmoon is an independent game. It is not connected to Marvel Snap, Marvel or Second Dinner.
How long is a match?
Usually around 15 to 25 turns in total, both players together. Each turn has a timer.
