Shardmoon
Shardmoon, a free browser game of strategy and fantasy
Browser games used to mean small Flash games or text-heavy empire builders. Shardmoon is a strategy browser game in a fantasy world that runs in any modern browser, saves everything on the server and lets you play the same account on the PC, the laptop and the phone.

What makes Shardmoon a browser game
There is nothing to install. You open play.shardmoon.com, create a free account and play your first match a few minutes later. Updates arrive the next time you load the page, and your cards, decks and progress live on the server, not on one device.
Shardmoon is a card game at its core: you collect cards and build decks, so if you were looking for that genre in particular, read our page on the free browser card game.
A match at a glance: lanes, ward, energy
Each player has a ward with 25 life and four lanes in front of it. You place Shardlings, creatures of living moon crystal, on the lanes. Each one attacks the lane opposite, and if that lane is empty it hits the ward directly. Your energy grows by one each turn, up to 8, and up to 2 energy carries over to the next turn.
Shardlings evolve through three stages during a match, spells answer the opponent and face-down traps turn close games around. Decks have 30 cards from two of the four classes, so the strategy starts before the first turn. The full rules are on how to play Shardmoon.
On PC, laptop and phone
The game runs in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. On a phone you play in landscape, and on Android also in fullscreen. Because the match runs on the server, you can start on the PC in the evening and continue collecting on the phone the next day. More on that on the page about the card game without download.
Against real players and against the computer
Play PvP against real players in quick matches or in ranked play, invite a friend with a link, or play against the computer as often as you like. Every move is checked on the server, so changing the page in the browser does not help anyone cheat.
Free to play, fair to play
Shardmoon is free. Quests and wins pay Silver, and card packs are sold for Silver. Moonglass can be bought with real money for packs and cosmetics, but every card can be earned by playing. If you enjoy the world, there is also a fantasy world to explore and a novel set on the same islands.
